📍 You're listening to The Success-Minded Woman with Deidrea Kiesling, episode 35, Life Changing Phrases Part 2. You can think of these as phrases, as mantras or affirmations, but there are things that you can say to yourself that are like medicine for your soul when you're feeling down, overwhelmed, confusion, worry, negative thoughts and feelings that are making you feel bad.

Feeling good, feeling better is just one thought away, and these are a few of my favorite ones ten, actually ten of my favorite ones. So, stay tuned.

Hi, I'm Deidrea, wife and mom to three teenagers, coffee snob and certified life and business coach. If you're a high-achieving, goal-oriented woman and you know you were meant for more then you are a success-minded woman and you're in the right place. I'm here to help you make the money and the impact you've been dreaming of, to step into your confidence, create habits and systems to support you, ditch that imposter syndrome and harness the power of your mind. If you're ready to create a life and business you love, then let's go. I'm so glad you're here.

Hi! Welcome back to the podcast, and this is a good one. Actually, this is a request that I had from two of my clients, a request to have a part two of life changing phrases. So, a couple of episodes back. I did life-changing phrases and so many of my clients said but you didn't say this one or you didn't say that one, things that I've told them in coaching sessions.

And I thought, oh my gosh, I have a lot more life changing phrases. So, this is part two and if you haven't listened to part one, you will want to go back and listen to that one. But you don't need to listen to that one before you listen to this one. So that episode is episode number 27. So, you can go back and listen to that one.

Okay, so these life changing phrases are just phrases that you can say in your mind. You can say them out loud, you can write them, or you can say them to yourself and your thoughts. But these are all ways to move your attention to what's possible when you're feeling down, when you're feeling overwhelmed, when you're feeling stressed, when you're in those old patterns that make you feel bad and are not taking you towards your goals and dreams.

We've talked a lot in this podcast about you notice what you're noticing, you notice where you're paying attention, you notice what you're thinking about and when that makes you feel contraction, it makes you feel negative, it gets you into those old fear patterns. You have to interrupt that and you have to move your attention to something that makes you feel expansive, that gets you into possibility. And that's what these life-changing phrases are.

You can use them to stop those negative thoughts and feelings and move your attention to two things that make you feel better and that will start moving you forward. So that is the intention and the purpose of why we have these phrases to interrupt the thought pattern and start laying the groundwork for the new thought patterns.

And the more you do this, over and over again, this will become a habit that you notice your negative thoughts and feelings and you can move your attention and you can reach for some of these life changing phrases. You will find the ones that resonate most with you, and the more you do this, the more that you will believe them and the truer they will become for you and the more that you will start seeing and noticing evidence that proves that these are true for you.

So here we go, number one okay, so there's going to be ten of them. So, number one things are always working out for me. Things are always working out for me. I love this one because it just reminds me when you say this will remind you that things are always working out for you. Things are always getting better and better.

So, if you are like me and tend to focus on the negative of what's wrong with everything, this will help you move your attention and focus on what's right and belief that things are always working out for me. I love to say this one for myself and then put my mind to work on gathering evidence of how this is true.

And this is such a fun way to go about your day. Go about your day with the intention that things are always working out for me and notice how many things are working out for you.

This happened to me yesterday. I was traveling back from visiting my niece Savannah and meeting her husband Brent and my nephew, great nephew Arthur, and seeing my great niece, Adeline. I saw her when she was a little baby and so it was so fun to see them and connect and it was such a great trip. Hi, Savannah, she said she listened, so that also made me feel so good.

So, when I was flying back, I was telling myself things are always working out for me and the travel day was so easy and fun and I kept finding ways that this is true, that things are always working out for me.

So, when you say this to yourself, you're asking your brain to notice that, to tell you, to give you evidence of how that is true. And then the more you do it, the more you notice it and it just becomes like self-fulfilling prophecy.

So, when I was traveling yesterday, they were asking to check your bag for free because there wasn't enough bin space, which I like to carry on, because I don't like paying for checking my bags. But I also don't really carry my bags because I don't like lugging them around the airport when I'm changing planes, and I don't like lifting them up and putting them in the bin and I don't like having to find a place for them. The whole thing.

I don't really like that part of it. So, I was able to check my bag for free and I knew that it would all be fine. So that was how I started my day and things are always working out for me. I also, because it was a small airport, I wasn't sure if they were going to have coffee, and then I just kept telling myself things are always working out for me.

And sure enough, there was a coffee stand after I went through security, and this just kept happening to me all day. Just good things kept happening to me in my whole travel, though it ended when I was walking out of the airport to catch my parking shuttle. It was literally there waiting for me with the door open. I mean, things are always working out for me. So, try that today.

So, when you notice yourself in worry or fear, doubt, overwhelm, whatever those kinds of negative, yucky feelings, move your attention and look for evidence of how things are always working out for me. Okay, number two it can be no other way. So, this one is more about when you are looking for reasons why something happened, or looking at your past with regret or disappointment or guilt or whatever it is.

If you step back and say it can be no other way, it helps me connect with these universal principles, these universal laws that run our life, that run underneath all of everything is that there is a fact of every cause and there's a ripple effect. So, when you trust that everything is always working out for me, you can also trust that when things happen the way they happen, that it can be no other way.

And what I like to say is this what I get out of this it can be no other way is. It just reminds me that this is the way things work and if I want them to be different, I have to be different. I have to think differently, feel differently, take different actions to create what I want in the world. So, this reminds me, and I hope it helps you, that it can be no other way.

It's another way of saying it was exactly how it was meant to be, based on the situations, the circumstances, the conditions, the people, the events of that time, of this time or the past time that it can be no other way for me. This gives me relief that I did the best I could. Things are always working out for me, and I also like to think it can be no other way that I did the best I could with what I had, with where I was right now, and you can do that too.

You can know that you're growing and you're evolving, and it can be no other way than it was, especially when you're looking at the past.

Number three, my success is inevitable. This is a big one. This is one that one of my clients reminded me that I needed to add into the podcast. My success is inevitable. So, if you believe, or you want to believe, that your goals and dreams, at the vision you have for the life that you would absolutely love living, the more that if you really want to believe that this is a powerful phrase that you can say to yourself my success is inevitable.

And when you say that, when you write it, when you think those thoughts, my success is inevitable, you will start to believe that that is true, and you will start noticing and creating success in your life. It is an attitude, it's a mental identity that you are successful, and that success is inevitable for you. When you have a vision, when you use the tools of managing your mind, of deciding how you want to live your life and how you want to be in your life, then by definition, your success is inevitable because it's up to you to create your success. So, you get to decide.

If your success is inevitable, you can claim it. I like to write it in my journal a lot, like most days. I write that. It's a reminder to myself that my success is inevitable, especially when things feel hard, and it feels like it's not working, or I don't have enough time or how can this ever work out. There's too much to do and I can get into a lot of negative patterns around that and then I interrupt it and I remind myself my success is inevitable. Okay, that was number three.

Number four that's for me. So, I mentioned this in a previous podcast when we were talking about comparison, and when you look at something or someone and you feel bad about yourself or your situation because you are comparing yourself to someone else and you wish that you had that, or you get into a negative feeling around that you want something, and you don't have it.

The opposite of that is you can spin it around and you can notice that when you're comparing yourself to someone else or something else, you can tell yourself, remind yourself, that that's just bringing out for you to notice something that you want to notice, something that's possible for you to notice something that is within you or that you are capable of creating, and so you can say that's for me.

So, when you see someone doing something that you want to do out in the world, when you see some image of an experience or a place that you want to be, you can just say that's for me. I like to say just put it on your menu, like put it on your order. If you see something and it's triggering something in you that you would love, you just claim it and say that's for me. So, you can't be complaining or comparing negatively and believing that that's for me at the same time. So, it's another way to move your attention when you're feeling negative, when you're in a negative comparison cycle.

Okay, number five, oh well, so I learned this one from Mel Robbins, and she said that she learned it from her daughter. But it's a different way. It's a perspective that you can put on anything or anyone that's happening right now.

When you notice yourself complaining or wishing things were different or wishing someone was different, you can just say, oh well, and this is more about when you're getting irritated, especially with something or someone else, when you're not liking something in your environment.

So, let's say, someone cuts you off in traffic and you feel an irritation, you can calm yourself and just say, oh well, and it can be bigger ones too. Maybe you didn't get invited to someplace that you really wanted to go, or you feel rejected by a friend or something.

You can just say, oh well, you can move your attention to oh well, because the more that you can do this, the more that you are letting go of what you thought it should be to just accept that it is what it is.

Oh well, so the next one. So that was number five, number six what can I do with what I have? And you could say in the next five minutes, in the next five hours, in the next five days, so you can vary the timeframe of this. I always like to use a five, but basically what this does is it gets you out of like complaining or in action or in decision.

When you move your attention to what can I do with what I have in the next five minutes, so that gets you into action. It moves the energy, and everything is energy. If you think about how, like dirt collects on furniture, on your table, you clean it up.

Action is how you clean things, how you clean the dirt or the dust or the buildup. You wipe it away through action. And you can do that with your negative feelings and emotions, your doubt, your worry, your overwhelm. You can get into action with what can I do with what I have. And when you say, in the next five minutes, that immediately gets you into action, because action creates more action. Action creates clarity, action creates consistency.

So, the more that you can get into action, the closer you are going to get to your goals and you're also going to feel better because when you're taking action, you're feeling better because you're doing something.

So, getting into action is such a good way and it also taps into your creativity, kind of taps you in if you believe in a higher power, in universe and God, whatever that is, that power that's breathing us. It opens up to creativity and co-creativity with the power that's breathing us, and so you can open up to guidance, to intuition, and the more that you can do this, the more that you can relax into what's next.

What's next? You can just keep asking yourself what can I do with what I have? In the next five minutes? And I talked more about this process in a previous episode, about it's called Five Steps to Take Inspired Action. It's episode 26.

And I walk you through a whole five step process to get to that. What I just said is step five, which is asking yourself what action you can take. So, if you haven't listened to that one, I gave you a whole process to get into action.

Okay, number seven every day, in every way, I am getting better and better. Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better. The more you say this one, the more you believe it, the more that you connect with it, and it really does become true, because the truth is that you are getting better and better every day when you are living an inspired life, when you are moving toward your goals and dreams, when you are a success minded woman and however you define success.

In every day, every day, in every way, I am getting better and better, and this is again something that I remind myself every day. So, especially when I start to maybe like beat myself up and kind of think negatively about myself, I move my attention to and remind myself every day, in every way, I am getting better and better, and so you're either winning, like you're really creating the results that prove that you're getting better and better, or you're learning. You're learning something about yourself that you can improve, that you can make better and better.

So, if you always look at life as if you're getting better and better, then you're always getting better and better because you're learning your lessons, you're improving your process, you're improving your habits, you're noticing where something's falling off track and you're getting yourself back on track. Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better.

Okay, number eight let them. The let them theory is based on a simple truth the fastest way to take control of your life is to stop controlling everyone in your life. You really can only control yourself, your thoughts, your feelings, your behaviors. So, when you stop trying to control other people and just let them be themselves, you take back your power. It eases your mind, and you can enjoy your life more and the people in your life more.

And if letting them is not sustainable or even healthy for you, this is when you can take control and use boundaries to walk away or to create boundaries around how you want to interact with that other person. So, when you can just let people be themselves, which, of course, is what everyone is doing anyways it just brings you, gives you your power back, because you're not trying to control other people. This is a big one.

I also learned that one from Mel Robbins, number nine today, is going to be easy and fun. Today is going to be easy and fun. So, this is again something that you can tell yourself in the morning when you're setting your intention for the day. Today is going to be easy and fun, and it might not feel like today is going to be easy and fun, but if you tell yourself this, there will be parts of the day that will be easy and fun and you will see, notice things that are easy and fun, and then you can remind yourself oh yeah, today is going to be easy and fun.

And then number 10, a win anywhere is a win everywhere. And I heard that one from John Butcher. And this is so true because it piggybacks on this other concept that how you do anything is how you do everything. So how you are, who you are, how you are in your life, with your goals, your habits, your thinking process, the way you do things.

The way you do things in one area is the way you do things in another area. So, a win anywhere is a win everywhere. So, any little bit of improvement, any little step that you're taking towards your goal, any win that you're having anywhere, is a win everywhere.

So those are 10 life changing phrases. You can borrow them, you can claim them, you can decide which ones really resonate for you, but I would really encourage you to pick at least one of those and try it on, say it every day to yourself. Do it for a week.

Pick one and say it every day to yourself for a week, and you will be amazed at how much better you feel and how more confident you feel in your goals and dreams, and how much more you are enjoying your life. Because you can't think two thoughts at the same time. You can't feel two feelings at the exact same moment. So, by reaching for one of these, or more many of these life changing phrases, you are thinking thoughts on purpose and feeling your feelings on purpose, and that is how you create the life that you would love.

That is how you create your goals and dreams by thinking thoughts that empower you, by feelings that motivate and inspire you and move you, the fuel that will move you in the actions that you need to take to create the life that you would love. So, pick one of these and I would love to hear back from you. So, if you want to let me know how it's going, you can message me or send me an email, thedreamacademy.com. I would love to hear from you, and I'll leave you with this.

One final idea, if none of these feels in any way true for you, if you're just in a really maybe dark place or a sad place or just a hard part of your life and none of these feels like you could, even if they're not true for you. You can add this qualifier to the beginning of it what if? What if things are always working out for me? What if my success is inevitable?

What if today is going to be easy and fun? What if, every day and every way, I'm getting better and better? When you add that question to the beginning of it, what if you're releasing the attachment that it has to be true and opening up to the possibility that it could be true? So, what if today could be the best day of your life? What if 2024, that's coming up. I'm recording this in December. What if 2024 could be the best year you've ever had? What if? So, I'll leave you with that and I will talk to y'all next week. Bye.
